rosewood medical spa

Did you know that in your mid-late twenties, your natural collagen production starts to decrease causing your collagen and elastin to break down which can cause your skin to wrinkle. At Rosewood Healthcare & Medical Spa we are proud to offer you Sofwave™! Sofwave™ can help; as a new non-invasive, clinically proven approach to rebuilding collagen. Read below to learn more about Sofwave™ and what it can do for you!

how does sofwave work?

With unique ultrasound technology generates heat into the mid-dermis of the skin, with integrated cooling technology it protects the uppermost skin layer from burning. This stimulates a healing response in the impacted areas and regenerates the collagen in the skin, with a result in reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.

what does sofwave feel like?

As the ultrasound is being delivered, patients may feel a slight warmness of the skin. This warmness can be resolved by applying a topical anesthetic prior to treatment. You are able to return to daily activities immediately post treatment. There is no special care to the skin needed.

how many treatments will i need?

Most patients only need one treatment. Some patients may benefit from an additional treatment depending on the area of the body that was treated and how it responds to the procedure.

how long does it take to see results?

Results can be noticeable as soon as one week post treatment. The collagen regeneration process can sometimes take up to 12 weeks to completion, so you will see ongoing improvements as time goes on. We are pleased that Rosewood Healthcare & Medical Spa is one of the only medical spa’s in Michigan that offers Sofwave™.

how long is a typical treatment?

Sofwave™ is a quick procedure, it can take approximately 30-40 minutes to preform the full face and neck region

Collagen stimulation

Collagen stimulation refers to the process of promoting the production of collagen in the skin. Collagen is a protein that provides structure, elasticity, and firmness to the skin. Various treatments and techniques can stimulate collagen production, such as laser therapies, microneedling, radiofrequency, and certain skincare products. By enhancing collagen synthesis, these treatments can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve skin texture and tone, and promote a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance over time.
